We just had our first 50/50 draw last weekend at Bouldering Provincials at the Calgary Climbing Centre- Hanger. It was a great success!

]]><![CDATA[Sally Borden Climbing Challenge ]]>Tue, 22 Mar 2016 00:13:48 GMThttps://acayouthbursary.weebly.com/updates/sally-borden-climbing-challengeSaturday the ACAYB were at the Sally Border Climbing Challenge celebrating the 15th anniversary of the climbing gym! This event was a scramble format competition, you had three hours to climb and in your top 7 climbs you had to have at least one of: boulder problem, top rope climb, lead climb and mix-climbing climb. It was really fun to watch and all those who attended had a blast- I think some are inspirer even by the mix-climbing now ;)
Chris Neve, manager of the gym, raised all of the product for auction. This was an insanely huge job and massive contribution to the ACAYB, so on behalf of all of us, thank you for your time and efforts here, Chris!!! 
With the support of the climbers and the ACA parents we were easily able to auction off all of the product and made $1338!!!! Totally floored by the support this weekend and looking forward to the next event and the Hanger April 02!

The ACAYB will be hosting 4 silent auctions during the youth competition season in an effort to raise money for the bursary program. In June, a few lucky youth will be awarded some money for their outstanding performance and stewardship to the climbing community.
